I'm a Fullstack Engineer, based in London.

Bio


I’m a Fullstack Software Engineer based in London, with a background in sales, design and filmmaking.


I have always been a curious tinkerer, teaching myself new skills in my spare time, because of my passion for creating and building new things.


After coding in my spare time for years, and following the developer community online, I slowly increased my knowledge of the tech ecosystem and I got hooked, this led me to decide to change career and soon after I joined the Software Engineering Immersive Bootcamp at General Assembly.


At my core, I am someone who loves working on interesting and complex challenges whilst also working as part of a team to collaboratively find solutions.

I built a buy to let property investment search and analysis app called Yieldly, that uses data from property listing websites such as Zoopla, to save properties and display them in terms of buy to let yield.


Pubhub

Pubhub


I built a clone of Airbnb but for Pubs, called pubhub. This was a MERN stack application which closely mimicked the functionality and user interface of airbnb but tailored towards Pubs.


Eatwell

I built a React application that utilised the spoontastic food API, to create a search tool for 330,000 recipes. We worked on the API requests together, but I designed and built all of the UI myself. The objective was to practice our knowledge of React and REST API’s.



Pokemon Pacman

I built a fully functional grid based Pokemon themed Pacman game using vanilla JavaScript. This was a great opportunity to showcase my skills in design, DOM manipulation, logic/ control flow and sound design.


Interests




I am a big fan of non fiction books, spanning topics such as business, leadership, tech, history and politics.





I enjoy making short films/ documentaries about topics such as the history of Underwater Archaeology or the lives of professional footballers. This is something I do occasionally on the weekends.
